Southport Market is preparing for a new community event, bringing live music, independent shopping, and family entertainment to the town centre.
The Market Quarter Festival will take place on Saturday, 18 July 2026, running from 10am until 8pm. The event is completely free to attend and will expand outside the main market hall building, setting up across both Market Street and King Street.
The usual excellent food and drink options from the venue’s resident traders will be available alongside the festival entertainment.
What to expect at the festival
The single-day event will feature several dedicated areas across the Market Quarter layout:
- Three Music Stages: Live bands and solo singers will perform throughout the day across three separate stages, including a main outdoor stage setup.
- Independent Trader Market: A collection of temporary market stalls will line the streets, highlighting independent makers, artists, and regional businesses.
- Family Activities: The event includes a dedicated children’s entertainment zone with specific activities running for families throughout the day.
The event is designed to bring a festival atmosphere directly to the town’s independent businesses, offering an outdoor day out for both residents and visitors to Sefton.
