We have some of the best markets right here in Sefton and today you’ve got two opportunities for independent delights.
From 10am – 3pm you can visit the Simply Vibrant Makers Market at the Lakeside in Crosby. There will be dozens of craft stalls set up near the water, packed with handmade jewellery, original artwork, local bakes, and unique homeware.

Or, if you’re closer to Southport, head down to the Makers Market at Hesketh Park between 11am and 4pm. It’s an ideal spot to pick up bespoke gifts and treats while enjoying a stroll around the gardens and lake.
Local stallholder Linda Howard, from My Sweet Retreat, encourages residents to visit: “Support your local markets, who have lots of very talented artisans offering the unique gifts that you are looking for. We have a variety of venues to visit, from church halls to fun days in the park, so pop the dates in your diary and we’ll look forward to seeing you soon.”
Looking further ahead on Monday 17 August 2026, the Makers Market sets up at Cambridge Walks right in Southport town centre. It’s a great chance to pop in while doing your weekday shopping and grab something special straight from local makers.

A couple of weeks later, you can combine a spot of shopping with a pint at the Hesketh Arms in Churchtown for the last market of the month on Saturday 29 August 2026.
And, don’t worry if you miss out this time, there are plenty more community markets lined up across Sefton in September. Check our online events calendar for full dates and timings.
