As spring turns to summer, there’s lots to see and do in Sefton. From rock ‘n’ roll nostalgia to half term crafts, here’s what’s happening this week.

Monday

On bank holiday take the opportunity to visit Crosby Coastal Park. Spanning the start of the Sefton coastline, it is home to Antony Gormley’s world-famous ‘Another Place’ art installation, featuring 100 cast-iron, life-sized statues staring out to sea. It’s an iconic spot for an afternoon walk, crisp fresh air, and an incredible sunset.

Tuesday

Get ready to shake, rattle, and roll! That’ll Be The Day is bringing its spectacular 40th Anniversary Show to The Atkinson in Southport (PR8 1DB) tonight. Prepare for a brilliant ride through the golden years of Rock ‘n’ Roll and Pop, featuring incredible live music performances and classic comedy.

Wednesday

Fly high at Southport Market this Wednesday for a fantastic Kite Making Workshop hosted by Pebbles & Treasure.

Let your little ones design and create their very own colourful kite. With all materials provided, it’s the perfect opportunity to spark creativity – and the fun doesn’t stop there! Once finished, take a stroll down to the beach and watch their unique creations soar high in the sky.

Unleash more of your creative side with the Make It! Craft Workshop at The Atkinson (PR8 1DB). Perfect for families looking for creative half-term activities, these drop-in sessions provide all the materials needed to create your own colorful masterpieces to take home.

Open: 11:00am – 3:00pm. Free entry, though donations are welcome.


Friday

The Southport Food and Drink Festival returns to Victoria Park from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31, 2026. This free-to-attend foodie paradise features an array of international street food, artisan regional produce, and craft drink stalls. Visitors can also enjoy live music, masterclasses, and a dedicated children’s entertainment arena.
