Ukulele Buddies raise funds for the Spinal Unit Action Group

The vibrant sounds of the ukulele are set to fill the air in Ainsdale this month as local ensemble Ukulele Buddies prepares for a high-energy live music evening dedicated to community support and charitable giving.

The event, on Friday, 24 April, aims to raise vital funds for the Spinal Unit Action Group (SUAG), a charity based at Southport Hospital. SUAG provides essential specialized equipment and rehabilitation support for patients navigating life-changing spinal injuries.

The performance will take place at MeCycle, the popular café and bar located directly opposite Ainsdale Station, from 7pm.

The Ukulele Buddies have become a staple of the Sefton social scene, known for a repertoire that spans classic hits and upbeat singalongs. Organisers emphasize that the bright, communal sound of the ensemble is designed to lift spirits while providing aid to local patients in need.

The group maintains an active schedule of appearances throughout the year to support the Southport Hospital unit. Residents interested in attending or those wishing to contribute to the cause can find more information regarding performance schedules and donation at www.ukulelebuddies.co.uk.
